Ex-Works Minis in Rallye Monte Carlo Historique

Two ex-Abingdon Mini Coopers have been entered for the 2008 Rallye Monte Carlo Historique amongst 13 Classic Mini Coopers and Cooper S's in the event.

Running from 31st January to 6th February, the 11th Monte Historique has starts at Barcelona, Copenhagen, Reims, Turin and Monte Carlo itself. Following an overnight Concentration Run to Valence starting on the 1st February, crews will then tackle 11 reguarity stages on the Common Run to Monaco over the next two days. A further 3 stages will be run on the Mountain Circuit above Monaco before cars finish in the early hours of 6th February at the harbourfont.

With Porsche dominant for the last two years a Mini victory seems unlikely, but Classic Mini crews will do their best to uphold Mini honours in the World's largest and most glamorous international Historic Rally.

Great info! All good luck for the Mini crews. Let's hope that the weather conditions will this year be in favour of front wheel drive cars then :D
