The entries for Minis to Monte for 2008 have now reached the maximum of 30 entries. Any further entries received will be put on a reserve list.
We cannot run with more cars due to finding hotels which can cope with the number of rooms required.
It is worth saying that a third of the entries come from members who are taking part on their first Minis to Monte Event.

Great to hear that entries have reached the maximum and its not even Xmas yet. For all of those who have never been on a Mini 2 Monte event before, you will not be disappointed. Roll on next September when the A series engines will be pounding up and odwn those cols.

We do have the whole route plotted from the original 1968 Monte Carlo Rally Road Book. We are going out to France during February to check the hotels etc. Then during April/May the detailed recce will take place. This will identify whole route, junctions, distances, points of interest etc.
An overview of the route is as follows,
Sunday 28th September
Assemble at Tournon-sur-Rhône for Welcome Dinner.
Hotel: Tournon
Monday 29th September
We join the 1968 Monte Carlo Rally Common Route through the mountainous Ardèche area including the famous Burzet loop.
Hotel: Vals les Bains or Orange
Tuesday 30th September
Vals les Bains or Orange - Col St Hippolyte
We cross the Rhône valley, skirt Mont Ventoux and continue via Gap
Hotel: Embrun
Wednesday 1st October
Embrun - Monte Carlo. Rejoining the Common Route we head south to Monte Carlo.
Hotels: Columbus Monte Carlo
Thursday 2nd October
Monte Carlo - Digne. We start off on the stages of the Mountain Circuit over the Col de Turini and Col de Couillole and then pick up the early part of the Common Route to Digne.
Hotel: Digne.
Friday 3rd October
Digne - Tournon. We continue on the Common Route via Die and the Col de Rousset on the way to the finish back in Tournon for the Farewell Dinner.
Hotel: Tournon
Hope that helps - the regulations will be published soon.

Fantastic. Thats really useful thanks. I've just been looking at Google maps to get an idea of the route. Its going to be a long drive down to Tournon on the Sunday!
The hotel in Monte Carlo looks excellent!
