Could someone clarify the meaning of the term "mainstream" for me please?

What is the difference between a mainstream and my Rover Cooper SPi?

Cheers

Mainstream were the carb. models introduced after the limited run of RSP's (Rover Special Products).  The RSP was the re-introduction of the Cooper name to the range. No doubt Taffy has the relevant dates to hand.  Cheers, Richard. :)
