Apart from me and Sal, are there many more here planning on taking part in this years run?

We'll (me and the misses) be doing a mammoth journey from sunny South Wales with our 2 kids in the back.

So London To Brighton or bust? LOL

I won't be doing the actual run - see other posts for reasons!!

But the MCR has a stand (13) there with our Marquees, 5 or 6 cars and regalia. So please do come and say hello.

I will be really good to put faces to names.

Look forward meeting everyone on Sunday and have a good safe drive down.

Robert

Make sure you wave on your way past Taffy!

Can't make this unfortunately - I'll be packing stuff ready to make the journey in the other direction, next week :)

Hope you all enjoy the day!

Cleaned, Polished and ready to go. If you see myself and my brother, come and say hello, it would be good to put some faces to the names on here.

Hope the weather improves. Ian

What a great day, fantastic weather and a good crowd. The MCR put on a good display too.

A few of the Herts and N. London cars that attended:

Cheers - I'll try to remember to have a word with the guy who runs our restoration class at college - Chris and him are pals and I can't find Chris's email address at the moment.

One morning I caught up with him in traffic in the rush hour and I was in my Smoke Grey Super and he was in his Mk1- must have been a Heartbeat moment for all those in their modern Euroboxes !

Here's a few that I took, I did look out for people but didn't get to meet anyone other than the friends we travelled with: -

http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l236/taffy1967/London%20To%20Brighton%202008/

So we did some 487 miles, drove all the way home from Brighton with only a short stop and it cost us £63.00 on fuel (although I still have half a tank left).

I really wished we could have stopped a second night because we were well worn out by the time we got home at 11:30pm!

Still at least we can say we've done the run now.

:dude:
