I was wondering what the general feeling of setting up a tutorial type section on the forum?
No doubt some of the members would benefit from this (myself included!).
Several of the other forums seem to have this, ok so most of us will already be members of other forums, but I think it might be rather handy.
I've added a poll to gauge feeling.

You've got my vote oz, and as mentioned before, if I can help at all.....

A good idea.
How do you think it should work?
It will need moderating to make sure the information is correct and that there is no liability to the MCR.
Anyone like to offer to moderate the section!

Cheers Graham - it was actually your posting about the glovebox that prompted me to try and set this up.

Phew, glad you thought that! Was hoping I hadn't over stepped the mark with this.
I'd assume that most (not all) of the forum members would have access to a digital camera and anytime a job is carried out on their Mini, a couple of pictures and a wee narrative describing part numbers (if possible), tools required, suggested torque settings and the best way to tackle the job.
As for ensuring no liability to MCR, surely a disclaimer on the section and within the actual tutorial should cover?
I’d be more than happy to put myself forward as moderator but I would really like another person with experience as well.
I also don’t know how much bandwidth or storage space the MCR Forum has, and I’m not sure how much extra load this would be.

oz, this seems to have quietened down a bit, although the few posts there have been seem positive.
I'd be happy to support you with this moderation business if I can - there are a few caviates on that (I can PM you in more detail about this if you like - mostly to do with potentially being away for six months plus, at a time!).
mcrwebmaster, can you tell us what's involved with this moderation lark? I'm sure this could be useful / worthwhile / a good laugh, etc.
There's plenty of people out there who have helped me over the last couple of years who I'm sure could have useful hints and tips! Lets get them down on paper (?) so to speak.
