| Going to Goodwood this weekend for the Revival meeting after enjoying the Festival of Speed for the first time a few weeks back. Would welcome any advice on the best places on the circuit to watch the action from, etc, from those who have been before?

The whole area along the main straight/pit straight gets very busy. You can walk around the whole circuit. The further you get round the quieter it gets and you can get an unobstructed view. Take yourself back in time by leaning on the fence!!
Personally when I walk round I go anti clockwise...so the cars are approaching me and I end up with hundreds of pictures!
Which days are you going? I will tbe there Friday and Saturday, I know there are others who are there for the whole weekend!
Enjoy your day(s) and get there early!!
Cheers

Thanks for that info Robert, I am there Friday for practice and look forward to doing as you suggest, walk the circuit anti-clockwise and go back in time leaning on the fence! Hope you enjoy your two days there.....looks hopeful for the weather too.

That's the worst nightmare. Just a second after driving a finished car for the first time - a crash like this

Great photo's but it's heart breaking seeing the aftermath of that accident.
That Hornet looked really nice before.

After the practice session ended as well.
Robert - How do you take so many pictures ? I thought I took enoough but they are in '00's.
What an event, 3 days of absolute history.
I went to the first event in 1998 and have been going ever since. This year was fantastic as I met a number of MCR members and on Sunday took my Mk1 S to the Lavant enclosure and could not believe the interest it received against what I considered much better machinery.
Glen please put me down for the Gold Cup at Oulton Park in 2008 now.
Maybe the MCR should organise a trip/run to the 2008 Revival meeting for pre 1966 model owners as it will be a rather special anniversary event. Maybe we could all get together and drive in convoy to park together in the pre 1966 car park - Racers, Rally cars and enthusiast pre 1966 cars. Maybe we could get ex works owners to join in ?
