Maybe it is an edible interior - looks like they've already eaten the door panels :D

Anyone want an original Clubman. Sellers words, not mine. ;)

Original:shock:!  I can never quite decide if I like the Clubman (Clubmen?) or not.  They were quite a popular seller in their day.  BL certainly never got around to offering 2tone paint jobs however and as for a "leather" interior as the seller claims.....Now the interior DOES look original to me.  Hey- maybe it'll turn out to be a rare, original "wooden picket" Mini:D:D:D...."bespoke" or "coachbuilt" as they say:D.  You might assume that at least the Teal Blue was the original colour but do I see traces of red or blaze under the bonnet/boot???  It IS certainly "dented" isn't it!  Come on then, who's going to bid for it?  Quick MOT and off to Beaulieu:D??

I wonder what exactly "Has been MOT cleared" means?  "...should pass"  "but I haven't got time".....Oh yeh?  Maybe £999 is a bit steep for an old Mini with no MOT?  To be fair though, at the right price and if it isn't rotten, it could be an interesting project.  It COULD be tax exempt too if build date is traced couldn't it?

If you look at the current sellers feedback, he's only just bought it.  The previous seller made no claims about it being "original" or special in any way.  in fact his listing seemed to suggest he'd have let it go for next to nothing!  I bet he was staggered it sold for so much!  One to watch!

It's the 'original' sales pitch that amused me. :D

Looks like it's got a 1275 head on it going by the heater taps? Unusual dash/instruments.

To be fair though, it does not look a rot box and could be a good project at the right price. Pity it's an auto though :(

Yes, I reckon it would be tax exempt as well.

Good work Holmes :P Didn't notice that - Not sure it's going to be a nice earner for him :?

Anyway, here's an idea for the interior for your S, Norton

That has to be the most revolting interior I've ever seen!:D

I think if Bagpuss wakes up on the rear parcel shelf,  he wouldn't bother waking the mice up to put the car right..... it needs to be put out of its misery:D

Andrew, we have delicate dispositions on here, I'm now feeling quite ill  W**res handbag is an expression I have heard before that would be fitting.

Oh yes, the unique Mk4 Cooper S  wasn't it with famous motor racing history?  I wonder what happened to that??  Simon'll know if its on the register....  Perhaps whoever is on the gate at Beaulieu will direct such cars to a special parking area;).

If it IS there, it might be best not to wind the owner up TOO much!   For myself, I enjoy seeing ALL the diverse styles and specifications of Minis at such events - Variety is the spice of life after all - It's just the owners of a few cars like that one who insist its something it isn't!!.....

That's the one. If it's there it would be best not to mention the eBay auction. ;)

I see the Clubman didn't sell and it's back on with 1 bid so far
