Cool but what type of suspension does it have and will it also go upstairs and fly like on the TV?

Better make sure it has the correct ashtray too.

I understand that it has Hi-Lo adjustable suspension to enable it to negotiate stairs

Yes, you just can't beat the old checkerplate. resistant to sun, rain, fading rusting etc. It'll keep its rugged good looks forever .
We'll expect something really great Andrew, our eyes are all on you!

I actually quite like this car, apart from the dash!! I also see some checkerplate in the back in place of a seat

Its actually not a bad car as these things go(apart from the dash, seats and checkerplate obviously!)
I notice that you have picked a 998 engined car for your 998th post.... hope you will be doing the same for your 1071st post, your 1098th post and your 1275th post!
PS..... Still think my dash was better! Notice you still haven't bought it.....

I think you are suffering from checker plate blindness...I really could not see the checker plate replacing the rear seat.
Is Andrew the sort of guy who will get a buzz from filling up with fuel at £9.98, £1071, £10.98 and £12.75 ???? I have a good number plate game...I have got 293 on my 1293, 850 on one of my Supers and 970 on another one !!!!

It is there Sal, take another look. Only the bit you sit on though But you're right, I love checkerplate......NOT
Hadn't thought about putting £12.75 of fuel in the S type, or should that be £13.30 as its at +0.060" overbore. And do I put it in one tank or split it between the two
I defy anyone to say they can restore this one How sad to let it get this far

There could be a long pause now while I find the right post or comment to make for No 1000 (thank God I hear some of you say)

I imagine someone will buy it and do a 'reshell' making a 1990ish mini into a 'tax exempt' one.....
Everything has a value!
Bumpers are probably worth something but the V5 is certainly saleable .
As you say, sad to see but I expect it wasn't much good even when first put there 20 years ago. It is easy to forget what a short life many Mk1s had. My Father in Law had one of the first Mini Countrymans (Countrymen?) and it was rotted out by its 5th birthday!

Well, post 1000 is here quicker than I expected. I tried, but could not resist putting this one up for dash of the year. Yes, Norton, your checker plate dash pales into insignificance compared to this one. I haven't bid on that one yet in case you change your mind although I've heard that Gray is also interested.
Here we go...

Another nice feature is the Fiat Brava rear lights
