Hi. I would like to buy a new Mini Cooper S but have heard that there is a new model coming out that would be a bit longer, possibly more powerful engine. I adore the current model, is there any opinion as to whether it would be worth the wait, such as a better engine, any new features, etc?

You might get a better response if you posted your message in the NEW MINI section as this section is for the Rover Mini Cooper of 1990-2000 only.
Now if you want a real Mini Cooper S then your life might be more complete if you invested in one of 1963-1971 vintage or the later Rover Cooper converted models as sold via John Cooper Garages.
Basically these are real Mini's as designed by the late great Alec Issigonis and not BMW hatchbacks designed by some yank.

| And sorry for sounding sarcastic, but the NEW MINI/BINI is something of a controversial thing and can't possibly be classed as a Rover, BL or BMC product as such.

You're right Taffy, you couldn't class the new Bini as Rover,Bl, BMC, cos it bloody works and won't rot to pieces !
We all know it's not a Mini proper, get over it !

No but the BINI did have a habit of exploding into flames for no particular reason though, so I know which car I'd prefer and okay mine has rotted a bit, but it still works, so in that case is mine a Mini proper then?
Anyway i'm well over it thanks and I did appologize for being sarcastic too, so what's your excuse Glen?
