In 1998 the Japanese market had two Mini Special Editions, the Brighton and the Belfast.

Myself and a number of other Mini enthusiasts have been trying to find details on the Belfast edition.

All we can find so far is that it was a 998cc 1988 model.

Does anyone know more or have a Japanese contact who could give us more info, photos would be great

They originally came with V8 engines, kevlar skirts, steel lamp guards and armoured glass......

...seriously, try emailing these guys, http://www.delta-mini.com/ basically the Japanese equiv of Minispares. I've emailed them about things a couple of times and they've been quite helpful.

I dont know i just clicked the communication link on their site (once i'd found it by trial and error)

It was about a year ago though, i asked about their timing 'gear' kits, they replied giving me the contact details of the UK maker.
