James,
Suspect you'll have problems identifying from WNS without access to Rover paperwork. Code you're quoting is VIN plate code, fine for monotone vehicles but suspect yours is duotone. VIN code identifies both colours as a combination, breakdown information for actual colours was in 'A' pages of parts book - may be worth asking a Rover parts stockist.

HI Dave and anybody interested
Thanks for the info thats my next port of call cheers Jim T the local Rover garage stated that it could only be 1 of 3 HAF (BLVC 617) , HAM (BLVC 1216) or HFF (BLVC 1279) however on more research the man said really its only likely to be 1 of 2 anyway I tried a web site called Mini colours.co.uk which lead me to Halesowen & district Mini Club site and a Cooper 500 with paint spec which is HFF (BLVC 1279)
The End.
(I`m off to get some touch-up and a spray for other areas Ive re- undersealed)

WNS is the combination code - ie. BRG with platinum Silver roof.
Much like my hawaiian blue cooper is RID on the vin plate, - Hawaiian with White diamond roof, which translates to JFK and NMN.
