The MCR is not participating in the 2008 championship and there is is news item on the Midland Speed Championship webiste.

I'd love to revive it, reduce the number of rounds to 6- 10 with the emphasis on roadgoing cars which is how I started it in 1993. I used to drive to most of the events ! :) We all had an absolute hoot, lots of fun in the paddock and very close competition. Trouble is I'm just toooooooo busy but would be very interested in helping out ?

Im looking at competing in the 2009 season, and I was thinking about looking into the possibilities of running a one make (mini) championship. My motor club have their own championship and know the ins and outs of a championship.

The 16v mini club http://www.16vminiclub.com have recently set up their own championship...?

Surely it isn't that hard to bolt it onto some other rounds?
