Hi askalbert,
I raised the original question fearing that some autobot cookies or similar had been put on our site to use it as free advertising etc.
Having read your detailed thread that puts my mind at rest, the information is interesting and I like the others will have a look at these posts with interest.
Kind regards
Stuart

Thanks Gray, Norton, Stuart, Severnmini, Glen, Bryn and Co-driver67 for your input.
I shall have to post an introduction sometime, rude I know to be brash before introduction (foot in mouth disease you see), perhaps that is what comes from being part Yank (born there, no offence intended, I love that country as well).
I am in Australia, looking at cars over in the UK mainly, so thought some of that effort may be useful to others, and it is the easiest way to contribute from here.
Hopefully if other members add to the threads as well the lists will be more comprehensive, and people drawn to the site to look may well end up becoming active members.
Replicas are being included for a couple of reasons, firstly they represent work to create, and secondly they may be more accessible or affordable to some.
For example, I would like a MY91 Rover Cooper Mainstream in Rally replica style (Twin SUs,10" wheels etc - any out there?) but to bring any car to Australia past MY88, it has to be used overseas for twelve months by myself. So I may end up coming to the UK for the Jubilee year in 09. I suppose most events will be on over the summer.
Glad to see a club working together, I was concerned the apple cart had been tipped by myself for a while. Hope to meet some of you when I am there.

Too much time spent, others would agree ! (Love the "off topic" thread.)
Here is another not currently for sale (auction from 05) but interesting to see what happened to the remains of one works Min. The blue was used by Leyland Australia in the "Young Lions" team, more in the 70's. In the 60's a Castrol green with wide white center racing stripe, narrower red in the center of that was used.

That one opens a can of worms.
Disputed ownership of the 'original' car between that Australian car and one which was discovered in the UK.

I suppose it may be good that the differing "children" are in different countries. This one is a "parts only" car, and UK registration marks are of little use here.
Difficult also to say what "is" when Comps sent off to Oz cars that "were" and yet the shell (identity?) remained in the UK. LRX 828 & 829 come to mind. Some arguments are not resolvable, at least the history remains.
We have one or two Works 1800s as well, and did have for a while the Works Rover V8 although racing success was limited. (Not sure what happened to that.)

| TTU 450J appears not to be a Mk 3 S but a Morris Mini 1000.

I think you are right Simon.
So it seems there are two Harvest Gold Mk3 S's in existence.
Norton's one isn't quite as unique as we were led to believe
The owner was going to rip off and make him eat the Brocade pants
