This listing has been removed. Today. 18th June 06. Seller "nagspeed" Still for sale, withdrawn by eBay for categorization reasons. Other tuning parts for sale, 970 crank & rods etc for info call Geoff on 07836 635 458

In the Midlands: starting at 900 GBP (Requires work)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200231300085&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:uk

More a sprint or track car than a works, I did ask for some more photos, but have not seen them yet. Note that the body and V5 numbers do not match (V5 for 66 Cooper S). Seller would prefer offers around the £2K mark.

Austin 1800 "S" Road Rally:

Engine: rebuilt 1800cc B-series with a Piper fast-road cam, twin 1.75" SUs, K&N filters, tuned cylinder head by Peter Burgess, adjustable cam timing and a few other bits I've forgotten the details of. Should produce about 120BHP when properly set up but will need a rolling road session to get it sorted out, and possibly a remapped distributor.

Hi all, I was asked by Robert to explain where all the ads came from, and he noted that concern :? had been expressed by established members, that the site be maintained in a good spirit, to the mutual benefit of all and the preservation of the history and camaraderie associated with the Mini Cooper cars. (Words to that effect.)

Essentially, this is a summation of some of my watched items, both on eBay and other sites. I am not personally benefiting here by listing what I find.

I suppose that if I am interested in something, others may be too. Less advantage to myself if I am interested in buying, but there is the rub.

After looking through the site, I did see some posts with particular sections of interest, but some of the items I wished to post fitted into more general categories. I thought that if the categories were there, others may be inclined to use them as well, when they advertised, or found items. When there is a thread that covers most things on the web, it may serve to streamline some people's searches, and hog less room on the menu pages (although it does shout a little in your face when you get here.)

Feel free to comment, as you see fit. With a live site, different people will have different points of view however what works best for the most of us as a new member I may be less qualified to judge.

If you feel very strongly about this, please PM myself or the administrators, I will reply to and pass on to them what I receive which hopefully will keep the "signal waves" clean. If they believe there is reason to, they have my full permission to edit as they see fit.

I have sought to list the basic information, and location of the cars as well as a thumbnail where possible to be less resource hungry and allow the viewer to see what is there before clicking on the link. At times I have added comment. (Some of these, I would dearly love given the right circumstances.) If a listing is expired (as some may well be) let me know, and I will add that to the description, or if you prefer it gone let the administrators know and they can remove the post.

Three threads have been added:
- mostly standard cars
- mostly modified cars (non works rep)
- works rep type cars (on the works page, where the interest is.)

Thanks for your interest. I will try and sit back for a while, and see if these threads have life, or not. :)

Hi askalbert, I have no worries with the posts,a lot of these avenues I cannot be bothered to look through as most of my time is spent sourcing spares, so it is good to have a one stop shop. I can see why there was an alert as to a hijack threat but now knowing your thoughts I can only say welcome we need more proactive people even if only on the forum. You've got too much time:D gray

I agree with Gray. I like looking through all the car adverts, but don't get a lot of time to do so. I'm pleased that someone else has got the time to do it, and highlight anything of interest to the rest of us!

So I say welcome to you askalbert, and keep up the good work.:dude:

Maybe we could have a separate section for people to post items of parts/cars that may be of interest to others - that way if you're not interested you just don't need to read that section.....

This is what we decided was the best course of action for our childish banter in the off topic section:D! Some people aren't interested, but its the most popular section of the forum by a long way!:P
