I was competing, albeit rather briefly, on the above event today with Peter Barker in his Mk 1 S to shake his car down for the Lombard Rally in November. A very heavy landing on Selective 2 resulted in this

I didn't think Oxford was that rough, just wait until Peter gets onto Welsh selectives on the Lombard.
What failed to cause such damage? Why did the sump guard not take take most of the impact?
