Since 1999, the Irish Mini Owners Club (IMOC) has held the equivalent of LE JOG from one end of Ireland to the other on an annual basis. This has always been a non-competitive event but has taken in many old Circuit of Ireland stages en route.

For 2007, our event is going back to basics and we intend to complete the trip from Malin Head (the most northerly point) to Mizen Head (southerly) in a single day, a distance of approx 450 miles. While MTM has traditionally moved from south to north, in 2007 we will start at Malin Head and head southwards.

By running the 2007 event over the UK May holiday weekend, we hope to entice plenty of Mini enthusiasts from Northern Ireland and Britain. While in recent years MTM has been open to Minis and MINIs, MTM2007 will be open to classic Minis only.

For full details and entry forms, please visit the IMOC website http://www.irishminis.ie.

Any questions, please just ask.

Thanks for looking,

Billy Mulqueen, Irish Mini Owners Club and MCR member.

For the benefit of Mini enthusiasts in Ireland or indeed visiting the country with their Mini, Malin to Mizen 2007 takes place next week.

Anyone interested in viewing the Minis en route can contact me at MTM2007@irishminis.ie or at 087-4195640.

This is the 9th MTM run by the Irish Mini Owners Club and this year we have restricted it to classic Minis only. The response has been excellent and we have 64 Minis signed up to start from Malin Head, Co. Donegel at 6am on Saturday May 26th.

This non-competitive event over 450 miles will take about 14 hours to complete and will pass from one end of Ireland to the other.

Billy

60 Minis made it on May 26th with one casualty for a broken fan pulley. Lots of photos and feedback on http://www.irishminis.ie/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1625

Awesome pictures and so refreshing to see only original Minis grouped together too. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come perhaps? ;)

If finances and family commitments allow, perhaps one day we'll join you're run because I'd love to visit Ireland again.
