Just want to say well done to those concerned for putting on the club display at Brum over the weekend, I went along yesterday and was well impressed by the three Cooper S's on show and the smiling faces were good to see too ;).

All three cars on show looked fantastic (nice to see a bit of rally dirt left on the Mk2 S, shame about the dent though!) - seeing them in the flesh so to speak has given me even more of an impetus to get my Mk2 restored a.s.a.p.

Oh, and the '59 on the other club stand was a peach . . . .

cheers,

Nidge

Thank you for your praise.
The dent on the Mk 2 S was inflicted by a "relative" following the car on its first leg of the journey to the start of the Minis to Monte run last month.

Lets hope its fixable and doesn't require a complete new back panel . . .

Good luck ;)

The stand at the NEC...

With visits from Barrie "whizzo" Williams

and Stuart Turner.

Thanks for the comments UWD 672G.

Thanks to the owners of the cars Peter Farley, John Matthews and Stuart Horsley.

Also thanks to those who helped to man the stand ... Peter Moss, John Wilkins, Steve Burkinshaw, Roger Wall, Don Farr, Julie Slimm, Cliff Porter and Peter Barrat.

Robert

P.S.

Despite Roger's claims he has been out of circulation because of a heart problem...the truth can be revealed....it was for a sex change!...

The best stand the MCR did at the NEC was when the Midlands lot had CRX 89B on a fork lift truck  ! Second only in wow factor to my own effort when we made a rally stage at GMex complete with gravel, top soil , grass ,logs, trees and GRX 195D in the middle lifted up on to three wheels covered in fake snow ! Should have seen GRX's then owner Gerry's face when he first clapped eyes on it, a picture of complete horror  that we'd jacked his priceless rally car up and covered it in spray on snow, but he loved it really !:D

*Blows own trumpet* :P !
