| Hi, I have got a 1971 998cc Innocenti Cooper Mk3 with deflectors that I am currently restoring in Rosso red with a stage 1 kit and K&N Mercury alloys. I was wondering the if anybody knows what the deflectors is?? Also what’s the aprox value of one of these and how rare are they in the UK? Cheers.

Hi there !
I remember this conversation a while back after someone read a production table for Innocenti Mini's featured in an Italian magazine called "Auto d Epoca"
The word "deflectors" was used to describe the fitting of opening quarterlight windows.
The value of your car greatly depends on the amount of original and unique Innocenti fittings and general condition of your car.
The value of a concours type restoration with totally original spec would be around £5,000.
Hope this helps.
Foster.

There are around four or five Mk3 Inno Coopers that I am aware of in the UK.
Do you have any photo's of the car you could email me ?
Are you a member of the MCR ?

Just out of curiosity, do you still have the original "Firsat" Rostyle wheels for the car ?

Hi, I haven’t got any pics at the moment cos I’m at uni in Cardiff and the car is in Devon. I’m not a member of the MCR, but when I go home next (about 3 weeks) I will register all the details of the mini on the website. I haven’t got the original wheels the car had normal steel wheels when I got it. If I give you the chassis number (0142911) can you check to see if its been registered before and any details. Cheers.

Are the alloys made by '100+'? They love very similar to the ones I had on my first Mini.
Join the MCR, you know it makes sense. Fosters report is the best one in the magazine and always has a little gem of information you can't find anywhere else.
How long have you owned the car? Will you be taking it to any of the Mini shows next year? It'd be good to see an early 70s Inno at the shows.

Hi, The alloys are made by K&N. Ive owned the car since the begin of the year and i am slow restoring it, but college and now uni has slowed it down Im hoping to get it running for the summer to do the north devon grand tour and mini in the park But that depends on time and money!!

Thanks for the kind words Andy
I've just sent a bundle of MK3 literature (colour photocopies) to another Inno Cooper MK3 owning member of the MCR (that used all of my coloured ink in the photocopier )
You hear nothing for years, then two new MK3 Inno Coopers appear by magic
