| You will prob need the wide grp2's as they are basicaly a set of 4.5"x10" alloys with an 1 1/2" spacer biult into them (seen them nearly fill a set of sportpack arches). I would expect your consumption of wheel bearings to rise rapidly though as you'll put alot more strain on them and I don't know how it would affect the handling

I have been trying to find out about these pattern of wheels and a month or so ago I spoke to someone who had four for sale having just bought them. He gave a "change of mind" as the reason for selling them. When I pressed him gently to say how they felt when driving he claimed not to have driven on them and said he did not like the look of them on his car. Well I did not know the chap so can only take him at his word.
It seems likely that with this design of wheel the car would be likely to track quite markedly. As the previous contributor has said the consumption of wheel bearings and perhaps suspension elements would be likely to be high.

thanks chaps, so the whole wheel is offest entirely from the hub then, not keen on that idea at all goodbye wheel bearings.
ill give it miss, shame tho as its a cheaper option 4 fitting 10" wheels

IT WAS A SPRITE,
light conversion is easy for a welder, and the reverse rims came from tim @ minimail, 7.5 inch coopers s brakes came from mini spares as did the RAC approved hi-lo`s and gaz adjustable short shocks

I can't quite make out from the photos, but have you retained the side repeaters?

Hi Steve,
What can I make out in the photos, are they Union Jack badges over the side repeater holes then? Did it make any difference to the operation of the main flashers when you removed them. When I restored my 1300GT, I decided to leave the side repeaters off, rather than cut out holes in the new wings and I seem to remember they went faster (or slower - can't remember now). In the end, I left the side repeaters wired in within the engine bay.
