J34 BAO was my then girl friend now wifes car. We heard that SPI Coopers were going to be made and we ordered one as soon as was possible, unfortunately it turned out to be a bad car and after many problems we decided it had to go. I worked at a Rover franchise and the car was traded back in for something else, the car was sold i think to another deallership and went out of the county so we never saw it again. It was quite a sad time as the car had been built for her as we had placed an early order, apparently rover took mainstream cars off the production line and added the extra bits to spi spec before they went into full production, hence very few J plate spi's. Has anybody got this car? is it on the register? It would be brilliant to hear about it.
