Has anyone got experience of fitting a 'magic pipe' to an MPI, and how they perform?
Given the reletively limited gains you can get from the MPI (a realistic 75bhp ish?) is it worth fitting an LCB?

to graham bichard,
the cars 1992 and it has got any rust, i mean any! its spotless
In that case then you might want to get it fully rustproofed with Waxoyl or Dinitrol, because now it's in Blighty it's sure to start dissolving soon.
dont worrie, its kept undercover in a unit, although i take it out about 3 times a week, it gets cleaned and polished every month, so i dought it will dissolve that quickly

Very nice!
Always did like BRG as a colour (bought a new Mini Mayfair in that colour - where are you now J121JVK?). And I like the idea of black minilites too, although white may be the better option with my red car.
Have you got any interior shots - I'm interested in the air con dash?

cheers for the comments people
i've always wanted a red cooper but with black roof and stripes
sorry about these pictures, it was my girlfriend just taking random pics, the clove box isn't properly put back lol
since then i've added the crome trim around the airvents, and directly below the ari vent on the slotty bit of the pannel ive added LED switches
and the glove box also works as a drinks cooler, theres a piece of metal at the back which slides to the side and it revals a hole which its connected to the air con vents.

Hi twebb182,
You're right its not that far. I haven't been down there in the mini, but have zapped down there on a ride out on the bike.
Is there a good mini scene down there? Wouldn't mind having a look at your car - I take it thats where you're located? I'm intrigued by the air con set up. (Not that seeing it will change anything - the wood & pickett thing is way too expensive and I'd just get more envious). I take it it clears the windscreen mist on cold morning too, so you're not left wiping the screen with you sleeves!
