Having spent the last 15 or so years 'getting around to doing this', I've finally come to the conclusion it probably aint going to happen! so, loving home needed for my 1971 Mk3 Cooper S.

Have had the car for about 30yrs - used to be my daily transport when long hair was fashionable and Radar Love was my fave music!

Have all original parts to complete, plus lots of aftermarket stuff as well.

Car is a rolling chassis with engine/gearbox fitted. Engine has not been run for many years, but was newly rebuilt when fitted, as was close ratio g/box.

Some Details:

Registered        6/8/1971

Chassis No       XAD14200027A

Engine No        12H397F1498

Colour              White

This is a very genuine car and would make a fantastic project for an enthusiast - I would also love to see the car back to it's former glory.

If you have any questions/need further info, please feel free!

Cheers, Dave

Hi

Thnks for replies - 1st of all - HELP! just spent ages posting car details and stuff only to lose the lot when tried to attach pic! most annoying! now realised my pics are more than 300k each - what do I do!!!?

Anyway, in the mean time some more details:-

Work to be completed:

Interior - front seats, carpets, dash, door seals, window winders.

Exterior - windscreen, wipers, door windows / mirrors, webasto sunroof, bonnet and badge, grille, front bumper, light trims.

Electrics - dash and engine bay.

Engine - inlet manifold / carbs, exhaust, radiator.

Engine specs:

HS4 carbs / '731' cam, hi-comp pistons / +30 thou bore / LCB manifold

Gearbox - straight cut, close ratio.

As for value, really have no idea - was hoping for some inspiration from MCR members.

Will try and do something with pics - otherwise happy to send them to private email addresses.

Thanks

Dave

Hi, Just as a note of interest, your car is only 21 in the production line before mine and yr engine number 3 from mine!

I'm obviously easily amused.:D

Just a bit of info which might help with your valuing; I paid £2K for mine which was a basket case requiring FULL resto which yours clearly doesn't.

Good luck!

Hi again Dave,

I see your car is still advertised elsewhere.

Ive mailed you a few times, through that website, however no reply to date. Hope your OK.

Due to my location Ive asked some friends to contact you on the private number.

Is your car still available? If so cash is waiting.
