hi all, looking for some assistance here, some of you might remember me from a post about a year ago when i got some help verifying my mk3 cooper s was what it said it was, i have had it since november 2006 and was intending doing work on it as it has been in storage since 1992 and has not been started since then either, but time is running away from me and i have not had a chance to do anything with it as i am too busy, i am looking to sell it on but i would prefer to sell it to an enthusiast who will look after it and rebuild it not strip it or do silly conversions with it, i would also like to keep in touch with whoever bought it to see it once it was running again [ but not essential], so main question is how do i value it and where would be best place to advertise it
thanks

okay, got a few pm,s so thank you for them , i still would like to get an idea of how much it,s worth so i am going to post deatails of it in for sale section, i will not do this until weekend so please be patient, my main reason for this is to allow me to get as much info together and as many good pictures as possible which i can e-mail to anyone interested, please note though this not an immaculate example just a general good condition one and in one peice which has had work done to it over the years and was in use until 1992 when it was put in storage and sat there until i bought it in 2006 and has been in my garage ever since, can anyone tell me what information is best to post about it ie anything in particular anyone will need to know and also any areas in particular to pay attention to when taking photo,s
thanks scott

Obvious ones are the boot board brackets, right hand tank fitments and gear change cut out. Have a good look at these to see if they look like they were done at the factory.
Also, does it have original chassis plates and body number? Get a heritage trace if it does to hopefully match up the numbers.

| Heritage Traces are not generally available for Mk 3 S's as there is so little information recorded - body and commission numbers, colour are not in the production records.
