Anybody know of this vehicle, it looks very tidy.
Don't know how long ago the photos were taken but it looks straight.

| I have seen the car in the metal and it is very nice indeed - be interesting to see if it makes the Buy It Now price.

| Well, I'm sure JK is one of the last people you would find trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

It does look great doesn't it! The Mk3 is a bit understated for my taste but I appreciate that is part of the appeal to others. As the man says - restoring one would cost you more .

| I haven't seen the car, but find your appraisal 'surprising' given the extent of bother somebody seems to have gone to on the underneath of the car, let alone what is going on topside.....i hope your comments are your honest 'opinion' and are not to put off prospective / other bidders.

I'm surprised as well. I see it's 'no longer for sale' with 1 rejected offer of £7.5K.
Be interesting hear JK's comments - does he post on here?

| I can only assume that the person that was 'taken' to see the car and who has been "into cooper s for years" saw a completly different Mk111 Mini Cooper S than the one advertised and maybe is suffering from Helen Keller syndrome? You cannot have seen many Mk111's as you would already know that what you can buy for £3500.00 can only be taken home in a carrier bag? That statement is indicative of unequivacal bollocks! !

The Mk 3 S requiring a rebuild that sold at Bonhams recently was over £4k including buyers premium.

Been in touch with JK. The engine developed a mysterious rattle and so the car was removed from eBay so that it could be properly investigated and cured.
If it turns out to be something serious it will be linered back to 1275cc with new pistons etc.
