Hello everyone,

I'm trying to find the name/ code number of the black paint my '68 Cooper is painted in. It is the original factory colour but it always seems to be quoted as "black" with no name.

Can anyone help?

Hello Mr Bootboy, I think the factory code should be BK1.

I suspect that code isn't going to get me very far in the paint shop. I can't remember seeing any such referance codes in the catalogue I looked at last week.

Anyone?

BK1 is the correct paint code for 1960's BMC Mini's as Glen says and has no name other than Black.

I'd have thought that most paint suppliers would have this code. I've not had any problems obtaining it for my monotone black Mk2 Cooper.
