About three weeks ago, my high beam on my MK2 Cooper wouldn't work. When I pulled the stalk back, nothing happened. Low beam and sidelights worked OK. Tonight I have discovered that the sidelights are working, but the low beam isn't. High beam is fine though. What on earth is going on and what should I be checking ? I have been wiggling wires galore inside the car, to no avail !

Just a thought. I had a similar problem with my Mk3. Check out connectors under bonnet slam panel by bonnet opener in grille.

Just had a fiddle with the fusebox - looks like dirty connections are the root of the problem - got the lights working properly now - cheers !
