| Im just getting round to rebuilding my 1071 engine, however it still retains its coil sprung clutch. Ive never had to deal with one on previous rebuilds so its abit new to me. New springs i beleive are N/A so whats are my options, i take it a diaphram clutch cant be fitted with my flywheel etc ? Thanks in advance of any help and advice, cheers Tim

| Thanks Mark for your info , it looks straight forward enough. In your experience has the packing washer behind the release bearing been required most of the time or seldom ? Thanks again Tim

| Is a 1071 coil spring crank nose equivalent to a 848 coil spring crank nose? In other words, can you put the coil spring flywheel of an 848 on an 1071?

They are of course the same, you can always do a flywheel swap if you want.
