Other forums having failed, can anyone here identify, or explain, this speedo head?
It was fitted in my Mark 1 Austin when I bought it, in a Madadash and with the trip button set in the dash at about 5 o'clock.
It seems to work perfectly well, but I've never seen one before.
(And I know I need a new camera!)
Thanks,
Colin.

| Looks like an early Cooper speedo. Does it have an SN number above the trip meter?

No, no number on the face. It is the trip which confuses me - I wasn't aware that any Minis came with a trip on the speedo?

Speedos like this were available from Smiths. SN code usually starts with a 6 rather than a 4.

| Good morning - You speedo is identical to the speedo in my 1964 austion cooper Mk1 . For info the serial number is located at the '11.00 oclock 'position just above the mileage . Regards Bruce
