Hi guys,
I've got a set of '67 marked displacers out of a basic Mini and they carry part number 21A 1804. According to the Special Tuning catalogue, that is a Cooper S number and I am wondering if the the stiffer S displacers were fitted across the range in later Hydro cars. Has anybody got information or an opinion on this?
Kindest regards
Al

Hello Al,
According to my ST data book the 21A 1804 is a normal displacer (orange band) used front or rear,my mk2 saloon has the 21A 2008 (green band) fitted front and rear which are also listed as normal units.

Hi Al,
The 2nd holy bible, aka AKD3509, indicates that the 1804 displacer was a standard one fitted to Cooper's but not S's.

Two orange bands (21A1811) are rally setting units for front and rear according to AKD3509. Single yellow banded ones are also rally setting but are earlier (up to C-A2S7-820486 & K-A2S4-820704).
