With reference to the Mk 1 Cooper 'S' originally prepared by BVRT and featured in this month's edition of Mini World, can anybody tell me the history of "Squadra Budino Nero" featured on the sticker on the door bin?

Did an quick MSN search and found a reference to it on the 'Don Barrow Rally Navigation' website -

"1970 saw another great year with Jim Bullough, many wins once again. The second Escort Twin Cam which was now stabled at British Vita Racing HQ, at Littleborough and was by now, getting a bit tired due to overwork, hence we had to use Norman Grimshaw's, of Squadra Budino Nero's fame, very potent BVRT 3 Litre Capri on a couple of occasions".

There were over 600 references listed, but goodness knows how many of them were relveant (or how many a Google search would throw up). More info must be out there somewhere. By the way, I take it you are from the Principality?

I don't know the history of Squadra Budino Nero eactly, but I am sure it was a micky take similar to Ecurie Cod Fillet.  The translation is something like Team Black Pudding!!

'Team Black Pudding' is correct.   It was a complete p*ss take of some of the factory backed teams in FIA historics like Alfa, and the drivers too such as 'Stanley Summkunt' etc.......  ;)
