| I have recently purchased a 1965 Cooper S that I am rebuilding as a CCC circuit racer to post '66 spec. Would anyone have leads to help me acquire 6J Rosepetal Cooper wheels?

Hi,
Nick at Vortz has produced the vast majority of rosepetals in the UK. There is a notoriously long wait to get anything from him, a year plus! & counting. I'm not sure anyone has reproduced them in 6J, i think 5J is the limit from the tooling available. How accurate do you want to be?

| Thanks. I am aware of the Vortz wheels which are 4.75J and I am already in the cue, however I really do want the car to be correct and so I want to find 6J Roseptals to fit the correct Dunlop Racing tyres.

Some original 6's did turn up on Ebay in the U.S in January, I could invisage waiting a few years before that happens again though ! Another alternative to Vortz would be to get them imported from Japan , where they're being remade by 'Work Wheels'. Pretty similar cost to Vortz and possibly more predictable delivery date !? You can order them from Sabu at 'Turtle Trading' in Bath.
A set turned up recently on Ebay, but I'm sure you can import them for less than the seller got for these..........

strewth .!!! I've got a new set of those Japanese 5" Rosepetals and a new set of 4.75" Vortz ones that I bought off Nick five years ago ...better than an ISA from the look of that ebay sale .

| Glen, Thank you so much for the leads on possible suppliers of the Rosepetal wheels out of Japan. I will follow up and report back on how I get on. Best.

Do you have contact details for Turtle. I have also been on the Vortz waiting list forever, and got carried away bidding on the ebay ones above (luckily someone else wanted them a bit more than me)
Thanks
