The route has been planned, surveyed and a couple of long days re-routed The route book is being completed now. A volunteer emergency breakdown crew will be following the following route.
From Goodwood to Chambery starting on Saturday 23rd September.
Assemble at Goodwood Race circuit. Cross the channel form Portsmouth to LeHavre overnight.
Day 2 - Le Havre to Rennes with optional visit to Motor Museum at Loheac.
Day 3 - Rennes to Limoges.
Day 4 - Limoges to Avignon (detour to fantastic Millau bridge over Tarn valley. Day 5 - Avignon to Castineires (nr Nice).
Day 6 Castineires to Gap using classic Monte Carlo Rally roads.
Day 7 - Gap to Chambery for final dinner.
Day 8 plus - own route back but return ferry included.
There are a few places left so to avoid disappointment contact the Events Secretary; Robert Clayson before 31st July as we have to finalise Ferry & hotel bookings then. Go to http://www.minicooper.org and follow link to Minis to Monte 2006.
We must not forget the history - "was we robbed of victory in 1966 because the Mini (and its drivers were so, so good)???

4 days to go. If you live near the Goodwood circuit why not come along and see us off. We shall be there from 4pm until about 6 ish.
The road books have been sent out and I hope maps are being marked up.
It's a fantastic route.

I've only just got back, just eaten a take away Pizza, replied to some forum messages. Give us a chance !!!!
I've got to download/back up to CD for main website.
You should have come, you missed a great event.
Much better than the other one(s) I went on. See other post.
I'm worn out but very happy.
