Minis to Ecosse starts this coming weekend.

The crews assemble at Scone near Perth on Sunday ready for the start on Monday morning.

Monday takes the crews from Perth to Spean Bridge near Fort William.

On Tuesday the crews leave Spean Bridge to head to Inverness via some of the west coast some 210 miles.

Wednesday sees the first of the two loops out of Inverness, the loop today includes visiting Culloden and a whisky distillery.

With Thursday we have a much more challenging route of some 250 miles heading out of Inverness to the North and then across to the west before heading back to Inverness.

The final day, Friday, see the crews head from Inverness back down to Perth, of course we don't use the direct route!

Thanks to Cliff Porter of the attached period postcard.

"well exceeded my expectations"

"absolutely brilliant"

"stunning scenery"

Just some of the comments at the finish of Minis to Ecosse.

The amazing route devised by the Scottish region took the crews from Perth to Fort William, Inverness and finally back to Perth. Of course we didn't go the most direct route. In all the participants did over 1050 miles and with no major breakdowns!

Being a touring assembly there were no actual winners, however, a number of prizes were awarded.

The daily quiz champions - Stuart and Hilary Horsley (for the second year running!)

The most favourite car on the event - Simon Drew 1964 Austin Cooper S

The Spirit of the Event - Mike Mark.

A number of pictures will be loaded here later today and also on the main website.

Robert
