Hello,

I'm hoping to go racing next season in a appendix K Mk1 mini (being prepared this winter). I'm a big fan of Top Hat both as a spectator and in terms of the principles surrounding the spirit of the period that the organisors adhere to.

What I'm after is a contact or two who may be involved in the series (or any other similar series) who would be able to offer a bit of advice on what to expect, just to get me started... any help would be very much appreciated!:)

The car is being prepared to Appendix K using 1275 S as a base.

Thank for your help!

Tom.

Hi Tom,

I have been racing my 1071 for a season now.  I looked at Tin Top but my budget won't stretch that far, I hope you have very deep pockets!!!

I am planning on running in HSCC this year, its a lot more reasonable costs wise than Tin Top and they run an Apendix K class if you are determined to go that way.

Remember, the vast majority of club racing in the 60's was not run by appendix J or K regulations.  Clubmans events were exactly that, most people could try whatever they fancied and they did not have to stick ridgedly to a set formula.

Good luck with your project.

Hi Tom.

I've been running an 'S' in the Hscc series

for a few years, I think you might find this series

a little more cash friendly.

In 2008 they intend to run 4 long distance

races. You can E.Mail me if you have any questions

about the series.

Colin
